There is plenty to explore in the surrounding area: the historic centre of Charlieu with its old half-timbered houses and Benedictine abbey, the medieval villages of Villerest, known for its leisure lake, and Saint-Haon-le-Chatel. Roanne, a riverside town, offers a beautiful marina and the Chateau de la Roche, which is perched on a rocky outcrop and takes visitors on a journey through time with theatrical tours and escape rooms.
