This rustic villa is situated on a 15,000 m² plot, completely surrounded by natural stone walls. From the upper terrace you have a view of the enclosed nature reserve with its old trees, steep cliffs and high terraced planting. The house is surrounded by a typical Mallorcan idyll and is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. A circular path from the ground floor allows you to experience the diverse and unique plant and bird species up close. Wild olive groves, centuries-old holm oaks, Aleppo pines, carob trees, fig trees, almond trees, mastic bushes, sage-leaved rockroses, spurges, small-fruited aphodel trees, metre-high sedges and much more grow here. The rare orchid species are fascinating. The countless wild herbs such as rosemary, lavender, thyme and sage are a feast for the eyes and nose. There are several garden areas around the house with palm trees, aloe, oleander, yucca palms and cacti, which round off the overall Mediterranean picture beautifully. The pool area includes an 8 metre long pool, patio furniture and several sun loungers as well as a pool house with outdoor shower and WC. The villa is guarded by a black cat called Blacky. The owner wants to keep him in the villa during the rental period as he is a real sweetheart. He is very loyal, affectionate and easy to care for. He only stays in the neighbourhood of the house and lives in a cat house nearby.
The country house is tastefully decorated throughout, conveys a strong sense of privacy and even meets the standards of luxury you would expect from a holiday in a villa in Mallorca. We enter the villa via a wide staircase decorated with flower pots. A solid entrance door leads into the foyer of the house. It leads us into the open-plan, spacious living room with dining area. In one corner there is a fireplace with all-round glazing. A comfortable leather sofa with leather armchairs and a wicker sofa (with TV) provide a pleasant feeling of privacy. A rustic, large wooden table with eight chairs is part of the dining area. The fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment) is located directly under round arches made of Mares stone. The kitchen also has a separate pantry and a storeroom. A master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a private guest WC complete the overview of the living space on the upper floor. There are two further bedrooms on the ground floor, each with its own bathroom. A baby cot is also available for a small child. In addition, the large lounge offers the opportunity to watch television (2 televisions with satellite connection). On the ground floor there is a washing machine, a deep sink, an ironing board and a laundry drying area. From the living room you can access the large, covered terrace with adjoining pool. The pool area has patio furniture and several loungers nearby, as well as a small pool hut with an outdoor shower and toilet.
This fjord-like natural bay is around 100 metres wide and 70 metres long. The shallow entrance into the water, the absolutely gentle waves and the azure blue sea water make this bay popular and particularly child-friendly. At the end, the bay is open to the sea, so you can enjoy an enchanting distant view. 1.4 km away is Santanyi, a small Mallorcan town with restaurants, shops and a historic centre, with a popular weekly market that takes place twice a week. The rural Villa Melanie is quietly located in the south-east of Mallorca, just outside the town of Santanyí. In this small Mallorcan town you will find original bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The marvellous bay of Cala Santanyí with its fine-grained sand is only 1.5 km away. The beautiful beaches of S'Amarador, Cala Mondrago, Cala S'Almonia and Es Trenc are only a few minutes away by car. The marvellous fishing village of Cala Figuera with its picturesque beach promenade is also only 2 km away.
