The tried and tested can be very appealing, especially when it regularly reinvents itself. Just like the Villa Laurel, which can look back on over a hundred years of history. But it is by no means a thing of the past! This is thanks to its owners, who have given this former agricultural site a breathtaking new outdoor area: You will literally breathe in the space and enjoy the tranquillity as the property is surrounded by a varied landscape that is still predominantly agricultural. Relax every part of your body while swimming in the pool and lazing on the adjoining sun terrace. The only thing that might disturb your peace from time to time could be one of the sheep that also live on the property. There is also a lawn area adjacent to the partially covered veranda terrace. Now it's up to you whether you'd rather take a relaxing nap or enjoy something tasty from the barbecue while socialising with your loved ones around the beautiful rustic wooden table. The outdoor area is cosily lit in the evening.
This is a Fincallorca holiday home.
The same naturally applies to the interior of the villa: with a great sense of design, the owners have opted for a bright and modern style of furnishing, characterised by a simple and clear style and lots of light-coloured wood. We particularly liked the open-plan living room, where cooking, eating and relaxing go hand in hand. The kitchen offers plenty of workspace to try out more sophisticated dishes while on holiday; since you have all the time in the world. You may also want to know what's going on at home. So why not switch on the satellite TV? Maybe you want to watch BBC news and the weather forecast before switching off the set at the touch of a button and enjoying a glass of wine in the warm evening air outside. Praise be to the mild island climate! If you spend a lot of time in the fresh air, you will also have a deep and restful sleep. This is also ensured by the villa's three bedrooms, each equipped with two single beds. It's up to you whether you want to combine them into a double bed for a cosy snuggle atmosphere or prefer a little more privacy and would rather sleep in separate beds. One bedroom has its own bathroom, while the other two rooms share a bathroom.
Despite its quiet location, the villa is ideal for day trips and excursions: For example, you can stroll northwards through the medieval alleyways of Artà (7 km). Or you can head west to Manacor, 16 km away, which is known for its leather trade. The beaches of Cala Millor, Sa Coma and Costa de los Pinos, in this eastern part of the island, are very easy to reach by hire car. We would definitely recommend a visit to Cala Bona, 6.5 kilometres away, which is particularly suitable for families with its shallow entry into the water. This town has a small marina and a promenade with numerous shops. Son Servera (11 km) is a small village situated on many different heights, giving it a charming historical flair.
Villa Laurel is located in the atmospheric east of the island between the towns of Artà and Sant Llorenç. Here you can stroll through attractive markets or drive further east by car; after 10 km you will reach the village of San Servera, which is characterised by its hilly terrain and will give you a nice workout during your walk. Now it is only 5 kilometres to Cala Bona, one of the many beautiful sandy beaches on this stretch of coast.
