When we visit Villa Morell in the early summer of 2015, we are greeted by a pleasantly spacious, partly unspoilt landscape, in the middle of which lies a picturesque house surrounded by terraces. We quickly realise that the owners have put a lot of love and care into the design and furnishings of this villa. The terrace by the house is equipped with an awning and we quickly discover that it is a wonderful place to sit outside. This is a place where you can linger for a while and gaze into the distance. It's also a great place to share a meal with everyone. Conveniently, it's also the best place to keep an eye on the slightly raised pool and the children splashing in the water along the way. Large, wide steps lead down to the shimmering turquoise pool - a wonderful place to spend warm summer days. Whether you're frolicking in the water or doing a few laps, you'll always find a way to cool off and refresh yourself here. Under the parasols, deckchairs provide the perfect place for quiet relaxation sessions where you can simply unwind. Think about a good book before your holiday and take it outside with you along with a cool drink so that you can enjoy your outdoor holiday as comfortably as possible. On the opposite side of the house there is another terrace, furnished with elegant chairs and an interesting table made from shipping pallets. This rather original way of dividing the terrace into two zones allows you to use different areas at the same time, so you can easily have some privacy even within your group.
We are very excited to see whether the inside of the house lives up to the promise of the outside.
And it doesn't let us down either! A large, open-plan living/dining room with an integrated kitchen is particularly inviting and makes us want to continue our tour of this charming space straight away. The sloping exposed beams of the room above us and the beautiful tiled floor on which we are standing alone convince us of the unique aesthetics of this house. The partially exposed brickwork, the light-coloured walls and curtains and the carefully draped furniture all play their part in perfecting this impression. The many possibilities offered by this luxurious living area range from relaxing on the sofa in front of the TV and sharing meals at the elegant dining table, to writing emails to those at home and preparing meals together in the fully equipped kitchen with high-quality appliances such as a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and coffee machine. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are also located on the ground floor and there is a third bedroom with its own bathroom on the upper floor. Each of the bedrooms is enchanting in its own way thanks to small individual details that give these already beautiful rooms an additional atmosphere. From rustic stone walls and antique-looking tiled floors to exposed supporting pillars, everything contributes to a rather unique yet cosy charm. Choose your own personal favourite spot and find the relaxation you are looking for, whether it's at bedtime or at lunchtime! In keeping with the overall concept of the house, the bathrooms are also tastefully designed. They offer high-quality fittings, hairdryers and plenty of space for everyone.
Despite the rural location of the house, it is still an excellent starting point for various excursions to explore the island. The villa is located to the west of the small village of Ses Salines, which can be reached in 5 minutes by car. Ses Salines is the epitome of a traditional Mallorcan small town, where you should find everything you need for a relaxing holiday. As the villa is only 250 metres from a small country road, it is also very easy to reach various coastal towns such as Colònia de Sant Jordi. The coast north of Colònia de Sant Jordi offers some beautiful sandy beaches, most notably the spectacular Es Trenc beach. And in the evenings, when you're done with your daily excursions, you can come back and enjoy the privacy of the beautiful Villa Morell. We at Fincallorca wish you a pleasant and relaxing stay. Built in 2015, Villa Morell is idyllically located in the countryside, just 5 minutes by car from the picturesque town of Ses Salines. You can drive into town to buy groceries and other everyday essentials, and on Thursdays you can even shop at the weekly farmers' market. The beautiful coastal town of Colònia de Sant Jordi is also just 4 kilometres away. This former fishing village has two beautiful sandy beaches, the northern one being the famous unspoilt natural beach of Es Trenc.
