Notable places are:

- The Lumière School Group and the Saint Maurice School: The Lumière School opened in 1890 in a spacious space, followed in 1909 by that of Saint Maurice, financed by the wealthy families of the neighborhood.
- The Bandstand: The president of Lyre Monplaisir called upon the city at the beginning of the 20th century to build the Bandstand. The Lumière family supported this request and a fundraiser was launched. The bandstand was built in 1912 and disappeared in 1958 during the redevelopment of the square. The arrival of the metro in the district in 1987 led to a new redevelopment and a reinstallation of the Bandstand in the same location.
- Place Ambroise-Courtois: it is named in homage to this radical socialist, friend of Douard Herriot and municipal councilor of Lyon, who was assassinated by the militia in January 1944.
