Experience the charm of Veere from a historic 18th-century fisherman’s house, offering a unique stay in the heart of this picturesque town. Ideal for both short and long stays, this cozy, monumental home combines comfort and character, letting you fully enjoy Veere and Walcheren.
The ground floor features a comfortable living/dining area with a sofa, smart TV, and Bose sound system for entertainment. The modern, open kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience, and the large dining table is perfect for shared meals. A small bathroom with a shower and toilet completes the ground floor, with central heating throughout. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: one with a double box-spring bed and topper, and another with two single beds. Both rooms offer beautiful views—at the front, the charming streets of Veere, and at the back, the scenic Veerse Meer. The spacious garden enjoys sun all day in the summer, providing a peaceful retreat.
Veere is a designated Monument Care area, ensuring a quiet atmosphere enhanced by the carillon’s regular concerts. Here, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Veerse Meer and immerse yourself in the town's rich history.
Please note: Parking is available about a 13-minute walk away at Veerseweg 26. The house is not suitable for guests with mobility issues, and pets are not permitted.
Some guests, particularly from Germany, have occasionally noticed that the plaster on the walls can come loose. This is caused by salt in the old walls, a remnant of the 1953 flood disaster. While we address it yearly, it may reappear. Though it may look like mold, it is not mold and poses no health risk. This is a natural feature of the house’s history.
