The beaches of Syracuse open along the coast south of the city, over the ark of the great harbor. Beaches of fine white sand and beautiful cliffs, including those of Fontane Bianche and Arenella, with a limpid sea, a real paradise.
The area is famous for producing excellent red wine (Nero d'Avola) the blackest of Pachino and Moscato of Noto and for sweets and specialties made with ricotta cheese and almonds.
