Vacation apartment in Ovaro, a sunny hamlet of Clavais on the Degano River, among the hills of the Carnic Alps, in the ski area of Monte Zoncolan. If you are a sports enthusiast, on foot, by mountain bike, on skis or by bicycle, you can explore these surroundings by means of the itineraries adapted to your sporting form. Here you will find enchanted lakes, alpine villages of stone and wood, ancient churches, caves and huts where you can taste local products. In winter, skiers and mountain lovers have access to the lifts of Monte Zoncolan (10 km): cross-country skiing, downhill skiing with 27 km of slopes, alpine skiing and freeriding. On the Zoncolan is also a freestyle arena. In Paluzza (20 km) there is a 10 km cross-country skiing ring. Recommended in summer at Comeglians and also passable by car, the 30km long panoramic road delle Vette, which reaches an altitude of 2000m. Numerous excellent and equipped trails allow to reach great heights to the pastures and picturesque mountain lakes of the area. In 26 km there is the spa of Arta Terme, whose sulfurous waters are famous since Roman times. This region is rich in history and in the various fractions can visit historical sites and museums of Carnia. Discover also the culinary delights of Carnia tradition, such as homemade salami and smoked ricotta cheese. The Austrian border is only 38 km away. In Italy you can visit beautiful historical cities like Venzone, Udine, and Cividale del Friuli (Old Town Heritage of UNESCO) or drive to the Adriatic coast to Trieste, Palmanova and Aquileia.
