The city of Genk is also not far away, in only 16 minutes by car you can reach it. Maastricht is also a city you could visit, so you dare a little jump over the border into the Netherlands and reach it in only 13 minutes by car. There you can enjoy the city park, nice shopping streets to stroll and a canal to rest a bit.
