The elongated municipality of Penmarc'h is an ideal starting point for exploring the Bigoudenland. If you follow the coast on bikes or on a hike, you will come to Brittany's largest natural beach, La Torche, which is a popular surfing spot throughout France. The area around Penmarch is known for its floriculture, among other things; in the spring the surrounding fields shine in all colours. The capital of the Bigoudenland, Pont L'Abbé, attracts with its lively weekly market, the small castle, nice boutiques and good restaurants.
