- Next to Esperaza are, among others, the vineyards of the Corbieres.
- Around the corner are many Cathar castles, such as Château de Puilaurens.
- The Gorges de Galamus, Rivesaltes and Collioure (Cote Vermeille) are all also well worth a visit.

Toulouse, Montpellier, Gerona and Barcelona airports are all easily accessible and also have good choices in terms of car hire.
Skiing:
The nearest ski resort is a 45-minute drive away and the charming winter sports town of Ax-les-Thermes 15 minutes away with the La station Ax 3 Domaines 1400-2400m ski area.
